SOL 2.1-2.3- Students will work daily on their oral language skills, listening skills, and speaking vocabulary through a variety of activities.
SOL 2.4-2.8- Students will use phoentic strategies, meaning clues, and language structure skills through Daily Word Study and Reading instruction activities.
SOL 2.11, 2.12- Students will learn how to write complete sentences.
SOL 2.10-Students will maintain manuscript and begin learning cursive
Math:
SOL 2.16
The student will identify describe, compare, and contrast plane and solid geometric figures (circle/sphere, square/cube, and rectangle/rectangular prism).
Social Studies:
SOL 2.1: The student will explain how the contributions of ancient China have influenced the present world in terms of architecture, inventions, the calendar, and written language

The student will investigate and understand that living things are part of a system. Key concepts include Habitats change over time due to many influences and living organisms are interdependent with their living and non-living surroundings.
